Adairsville (referred to as a “Norman Rockwell kind of town” and Home of Barnsley Gardens Resort),
Cartersville (county seat and home of Etowah Indian Mounds and Allatoona Pass Battlefield - one of the most intact Civil War battle sites in the nation!),
Emerson (home of the remains of the Etowah Railroad Bridge which was burned six times by the end of the War Between the States and was a major target of ‘Andrew's Raiders’ during the Great Locomotive Chase),
Euharlee (derives its meaning from the Indian name “Eufala” meaning “she laughs as she runs” - rich in archaeological evidence of early Indian civilizations),
Kingston (home of Kingston Downs situated along the historic Etowah River where a series of races collectively known as the Atlanta Steeplechase are run),
Taylorsville (home of “The Big Horn” - a 9-ton magical vehicle made up historic bells, horns, steam gauges, a calliope and a variety of whistles used in parades and celebrations throughout the Southeast!),
White (home of the William Weinman Mineral Museaum - considered the finest mineral museum in the Southeastern United States!)

The folks here proudly refer to Bartow County as being “just 45 miles North of Atlanta yet 100 years away”.
